Bret R. Goldstein, partner at the firm’s Philadelphia office and Chair of the Worker’s Compensation Practice Group, concentrates his practice in workers’ compensation and associated employment law matters. Bret is certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s section on workers’ compensation law, as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Bret is also the author of numerous articles regarding Medicare, including important and complex Medicare Set Aside Settlement and Medicare Lien issues. He has been assessing worker’s compensation and liability cases for the purposes of satisfying Medicare liability since the inception of the changes to Medicare and Social Security laws. He has provided many employers and insurance carriers with opinions to help them resolve cases when dealing with Medicare obstacles.
Furthermore, Bret is well-versed in the Medical Billing Aspects of the Pennsylvania Workers Compensation Act. He is an expert in these issues and has handled numerous Fee Reviews and Fee Review Hearing Officer hearings . He is familiar with Coding and the Medicare Cost Containment Act and the Stark Amendments forbidding self-referral.
Bret has extensive experience in the wrongful discharge issues pertinent to workers’ compensation cases and can advise clients on all aspects of Employment Litigation.
Bret is also a member of the firm’s Family Law Group, where he has an exclusive practice which focuses on divorce, custody, and equitable distribution matters, in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Chester and Delaware Counties.
Bret’s family law specializes in high-conflict divorces and specifically Cluster B / Narcissistic Personality Disorder opponents. He is listed as a Friend of One Mom’s Battle organization, devoted to high-conflict custody matters. Bret’s practice helps advise clients how to handle, communicate, and generate strategies to handle sociopathic opponents.
Bret is a loyal Eagles fan. He rides motorcycles and is a disciplined exerciser.
Bret is also a huge proponent of organ donation.
