Bret Goldstein, Chair of Reger Rizzo & Darnall ’s Employment Practices Group, will present a seminar in conjunction with The National Business Institute, entitled Negotiating Workers’ Compensation Settlements. Thus full-day seminar will assist attendees in learning how to achieve fair settlements through successful negotiation strategies, while also taking into account medical issues, Medicare set-aside arrangements, and Social Security offsets.
The seminar will focus on a wide range of topics, including: how to use settlement strategies and techniques to reach an agreement without going to trial; using evidence and legal precedent to support a reasonable workers’ compensation settlement. how to analyze and incorporate medical records, reports and independent medical examinations into your settlement agreement; what you need to know regarding the Affordable Care Act in relation to workers’ compensation settlements; and tips for keeping compliant with CMS while also reducing the impact of Medicare Set-Asides.
