Kathy has extensive experience offering estate planning, estate and trust administration and probate services as well as elder law assistance, including asset protection planning for long-term care (Medicaid and VA). She assists clients with estate planning issues, particularly in light of the complex issues facing same-sex couples and the newly enacted law allowing same-sex couples to marry in Delaware, and she handled the first same-sex adoption case which set a precedent in the state of Delaware.

Additionally, Kathy recently established the Firm’s Real Estate Closing Practice in Delaware, where she assists clients through every step of the residential and commercial purchase as well as 1031 exchanges and the refinance process, now focusing on commercial real estate. This practice includes the review of all contracts, mortgage documents, titles and surveys, and prepares the necessary documents for the Closing. Kathy also travels to closings at a location convenient to her clients. Offering a sophisticated, cross-disciplinary approach to the representation of real estate closing clients
allows her to offer an additional level of service and support unmatched by our legal counterparts.
