Paul D. Sunshine is a partner at the firm’s Wilmington, Delaware office. Paul focuses his practice on the areas of general liability, construction defect, trucking and transportation litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. He has more than 25 years of experience representing clients in product liability, toxic tort, transportation, general liability, personal injury, and construction defect litigation.

Paul has a proven track record of representing regional, national, and international clients in all phases of litigation throughout Delaware and Maryland. He has extensive experience with a wide range of client products and services and incorporates the varied needs and goals of his clients to develop comprehensive, effective, and efficient defense strategies. His success hinges on his ability to integrate the business model and stated goals of his client with a comprehensive strategy for achieving desired results.  

In 2010, Paul was certified by the Delaware Superior Court as an advanced mediator and approved arbitrator. He has been selected numerous times by his peers to assist in the resolution of disputes. He was appointed as Special Master to the Family Court by the Chief Judge and was invited to join the Richard S. Rodney Inn of Court with a focus on all aspects of litigation.

Paul serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Delaware Technical and Community College and Wilmington University. He also serves as Judge for the Widener University School of Law Moot Court Competition and as Presiding Judge and Case Committee Member for the Annual Delaware High School Mock Trial Competition. 

After earning his J.D. from Widener University School of Law, Paul served as a law clerk to the Honorable Vincent A. Bifferato in the State of Delaware Superior Court. 

In Paul’s leisure time, he is an avid fan of Formula 1 and enjoys offshore sailboat racing. Additionally, he is a recreational golfer, at best, and enjoys spending as much time as possible at the Delaware beach or cheering on all Philly sports teams.
