March 6-7, 2026 – Reger Rizzo & Darnall LLP Partner Paul D. Sunshine will serve as a Judge in the Delaware State 2026 High School Mock Trial Competition in Wilmington, Delaware. Paul has proudly participated as a judge in this competition for the past 20 years, demonstrating his longstanding commitment to civic education and student development.

Established in 1991, the program has been held annually for over 30 years. What began as a smaller initiative has grown into a statewide competition, with more than 20 public and private high schools participating each year.

Teams are provided with a case problem to review, analyze, and present at trial during the competition. Through this hands-on experience, students gain a deeper understanding of the judicial system while developing critical thinking, teamwork, and public speaking skills.

The competition’s mission is to enhance students’ citizenship skills and provide educators with an opportunity for authentic assessment in a dynamic, real-world setting.
