Mr.Newport is an experienced trial attorney in state and federal courts across Maryland. He has extensive experience in complex litigation, including medical malpractice defense, construction litigation, EEOC litigation and product liability cases involving L-Tryptophan, Body Armor, asbestos and various consumer products.

Mr. Newport has completed multiple bench and jury trials in Maryland state courts in the City of Baltimore and Baltimore County, Anne Arundel, Cecil, Carroll, Caroline, Montgomery, Prince George's and Wicomico Counties; the Southern and Northern Divisions of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland; the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and New Castle County Superior Court, Wilmington, DE.

Mr. Newport obtained his B.S. in Biology from Syracuse University where he was a New York State Board of Regents Scholarship recipient. He graduated with honors from the University of Miami School of Law where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Miami Entertainment and Sports Law Review. He is a former partner at the law firm of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes. Mr. Newport is married with two children.
