Ernest H. Ehling, Jr., is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Mt. Laurel, New Jersey office and is an experienced attorney and tax professional. He concentrates his practice in business litigation matters representing corporations and businesses in federal state and local tax controversy (administrative level) and litigation, business litigation, insurance litigation, bankruptcy litigation, and business alternative dispute resolution. He is a member of the Reger Rizzo & Darnall LLP Corporate & Business Services, and Litigation practice groups, and brings his unique background in law, tax, and finance to his practice in these areas.
A former Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section, Mr. Ehling has served as a mediator or arbitrator for the Superior Court of New Jersey, the Court of Common Pleas (Philadelphia), FINRA, the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, and the American Arbitration Association. He has previously chaired arbitration panels.
He began his legal career as a staff trial lawyer in the Travelers Insurance Company law department, and thereafter joined the tax consulting practice of Big 4 accounting and tax consulting firm Deloitte & Touché, LLP. At Travelers, Mr. Ehling was in the Commercial Lines division representing corporations in insurance defense litigation, and later served as a subrogation counsel for Travelers.
