The Ulster Project Delaware 5K raises awareness and support for Ulster Project Delaware (UPD), an organization dedicated to fostering peace, understanding, and lasting friendships among young people from Northern Ireland.

Founded in 1976, UPD brings together Catholic and Protestant teenagers, ages 14 to 16, for a four-week cultural exchange in the Wilmington area each July. During their stay, the teens live with local host families and participate in team-building activities, community service, sightseeing, and other shared experiences designed to promote mutual understanding and build relationships that extend far beyond the program.
