Robert Foster, Partner in Reger Rizzo & Darnall’s Litigation group, will serve as Moderator during the National Business Institute’s full-day program, What Civil Court Judges Want You to Know. The program will provide attendees with ways they can reach a civil litigation resolution as quickly as possible, while receiving insight directly from the bench. The panel of presenters includes nine Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas judges: The Honorable Linda Carpenter, The Honorable Pamela Pryor Dembe, The Honorable Abbe F. Fletman, The Honorable Frederica A. Massiah-Jackson, The Honorable Nina W. Padilla, The Honorable Paula A. Patrick, The Honorable Kenneth J. Powell, Jr., The Honorable Karen Shreeves-Johns, and The Honorable Edward C. Wright.
These judges will provide attendees with insight on the law, the legal practices and on personal likes and dislikes in their courtrooms. Attendees will learn what judges prefer at case management and pretrial conferences, tips on how to confidently handle motion hearings and motions for summary judgment, how to avoid discovery practices that are considered egregious by judges, how to identify the most common witness and evidence errors that judges hope you'll avoid, what matters to judges when they make decisions about your cases, and what the specific nuances are for each judge so that you can tailor your practices to suit that courtroom prior to trial.
