Robert J. Foster, Partner in Reger Rizzo & Darnall’s Litigation group, will serve as Moderator during the National Business Institute’s full-day program, What Civil Court Judges Want You to Know. The program will provide attendees with ways they can reach a civil litigation resolution as quickly as possible, while receiving insight directly from the bench. The panel of presenters includes six Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas judges: The Honorable Ann Butchart, The Honorable Gene D. Cohen, The Honorable Marlene F. Lachman, The Honorable Kenneth J. Powell, Jr., The Honorable Lisa Rau, and The Honorable John Milton Younge.

These six judges will provide attendees with insight on the law, the legal practices and on personal likes and dislikes in their courtrooms. Attendees will learn what judges usually prefer during case management and pretrial conferences; how to correctly handle motion hearings and motions for summary judgment; tips on how to avoid discovery practices that most judges consider egregious; tips for on what to ask during your next set of voir dire questions; what the most common witness and evidence errors are that judges hope all attorneys avoid; and obtain a list of the elements that judges consider when making decisions on a case.

This basic-to-intermediate level program has been approved for 7.20 hours of New Jersey Continuing Legal Education Credit; 7.00 Hours of New York Continuing Legal Education Credit; and 6.00 hours of Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Credit.
