RRD Attorneys Secure Defense Verdict in Brain Injury Case
Congratulations to Louis J. Rizzo who recently completed a successful trial of a brain injury case arising from a construction site injury.
In this complex litigation involving threshold questions of legal duties of owner/contractor owed to a casual laborer, specifically the borrowed servant vs. independent contractor status of the plaintiff, RRD represented the owner/contractor. The damages sought against our client included millions of dollars in past and future care costs.
The lengthy trial involved significant expert testimony. Ultimately, the compelling cross-examination of plaintiff’s expert witnesses by RRD attorneys, resulted in a complete victory when the jury returned a verdict in favor of our client.
The defense strategy early in the case, together with the compelling use of courtroom technology to present the case to the jury at trial, were keys to the successful outcome.
