Reger Rizzo & Darnall Partners with Lincoln Financial and Blank Rome to Supply Philadelphia Homeless Shelter with School Supplies
Margaret A. Morris, Partner and Chair of Reger Rizzo & Darnall’s (RRD) Utility Practice Group, partnered with members from Lincoln Financial and Blank Rome to provide backpacks filled with school supplies for the children living at the Eliza Shirley House, a shelter located in Philadelphia, PA.
The attorneys and staff of RRD raised more than $600 in donations, including backpacks, notebooks, binders, arts and crafts supplies and financial contributions. The donations from RRD were joined with those from Lincoln Financial and Blank Rome, and together, were able to provide more than 30 children with the supplies they need for the upcoming school year. Supplies included flash drives, calculators, flash cards, pens, pencils, art supplies, folders and many other necessary essentials.
Through their work with the Homeless Advocacy Project (HAP), RRD, Lincoln Financial and Blank Rome have joined together for the past several years to provide assistance to the families at the shelter. The Eliza Shirley House provides emergency housing, educational and medical services for homeless families throughout the Philadelphia region. Ms. Morris has served on the Board of Directors for HAP since 1997, and currently serves as the Board’s President.
