New Jersey Offers Additional Guidance and Resources for Businesses

April 11, 2020 - 6:12 PM
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy issued Executive Order 122 on April 8, 2020, which includes requirements for the continued operation of certain essential businesses. The Order also mandates that all non-essential construction (as defined in the Order) must cease effective Friday, April 10, 2020, at 8:00 PM.

The State of New Jersey has a COVID-19 information page for businesses, which provides a variety of information and resources, including the New Jersey Economic Development Authority's (NJEDA) programs. The NJEDA has a Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant program, a Small Business Emergency Assistance Loan program, and other program information is available through the State's COVID-19 business information page.

It is important to note that the Small Business Emergency Assistance Loan program application window opens this Monday, April 13, 2020, at 9:00 AM ET and closes the following Monday, April 20, 2020, at 9:00 AM ET, per the NJEDA loan guide (available here).

The State of New Jersey has an eligibility wizard to aid businesses reviewing the New Jersey programs, which is available here
