Morris Elected President of the Board of Homeless Advocacy Project
Congratulations to RRD Partner, Margaret A. Morris, on her election as President of the Board of the Homeless Advocacy Project (“HAP”). HAP exists to meet the legal and advocacy needs of homeless individuals and families in Philadelphia. With a legal staff of 13 and a corps of 400 volunteer lawyers, paralegals, and law students, HAP engages in direct outreach to homeless individuals in need of legal services.
Ms. Morris has been deeply committed to the mission of the organization, and is honored to serve as President of the HAP Board. ”I am privileged to be an attorney,” said Ms. Morris. “I believe that I have a professional and moral obligation to give back to the community and minimize the ever growing homeless population within the great City of Philadelphia by applying the law to make justice a reality for those among us who struggle with homelessness and poverty. As such, I am honored and proud to serve as the president of HAP, an organization of devoted staff and expert volunteers dedicated to helping the homeless access housing, shelter, and other life-saving services.”
