Join Megan D. The full-day program will provide a comprehensive overview of legal liabilities in IEPs and 504 plans, and will teach attendees how to strengthen your school's IEP and 504 plan process while also protecting students’ rights.
The presenters will discuss ways in which you can ensure students get the assistance they need to succeed by determining if they are eligible for an IEP or 504 plan, how to implement legally appropriate 504 plans that ensure a level playing field for students, how to conduct IEP meetings, how you can handle situations where an IEP may not be working, how to create behavioral intervention plans, and how you can properly protect the legal rights of students with IEPs and 504 plans in situations where discipline codes are broken.
The program is designed for the basic-to-intermediate level attendees, including Principals and Vice-Principals, Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents, School Psychologists and Counselors, Special Education and General Education Teachers, and attorneys and paralegals.
