Robert W. Small, Partner in Rizzo & Darnall’s Employment Practices Group, will present a seminar entitled FLSA Essentials: Applying Legal Requirements on Thursday, November 21st at the CLE Law Center in Philadelphia, PA. The seminar will be presented as part of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s 2019 Business Law Institute, an annual two-day conference featuring a wide range of educational and networking opportunities, including a keynote address from Former Governor of Pennsylvania, Edward G. Rendell, Esq. 

Mr. Small's session will focus on the essential aspects of the Fair Labor Standards Act, including the salary basis and primary duties tests, how to properly classify employees and independent contractors, what employers need to know regarding off-the-clock work and unauthorized overtime, an overview of safe-harbor policies, and will also feature a discussion on what employers need to know about tip-sharing and tip-pooling.
