Join Robert J. Foster, Partner in Reger Rizzo & Darnall’s Litigation and Insurance Practices Groups, as he joins with fellow leaders in the legal industry to present Find it Free and Fast on the Net: Strategies for Legal Research on the Web in conjunction with the National Business Institute on Thursday, August 2, 2018.
This full-day program will arm attendees with the tools needed to conduct successful searches for their cases, discover the invisible web, and access government internet sources, among others. The presenters will offer valuable tips, techniques and strategies to harness all of the valuable resources the internet has to offer.
Some of the topics to be covered include: how to use browser tricks to scan web pages and find relevant information as quickly as possible; uncover legal research shortcuts by identifying free legal portals; how to locate pages that "aren't" there anymore using the invisible web; tips for how lawyers can avoid unnecessary trips to the library by obtaining statutes, bills, regulations and legislative history online, and ways you can find anything from vital statistics to professional licenses at the drop of a hat!
This basic-to-intermediate level seminar is designed to provide practical skills for attorneys, in-house counsel, legal assistants, paralegals and other administrative support staff members, librarians, and anyone who regularly conducts legal research. The program has been approved for 7.20 hours of New Jersey Continuing Legal Education Credit; 7.00 Hours of New York Continuing Legal Education Credit; and 6.00 hours of Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Credit. It has also been approved for 6 hours of National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) credits.
