Real Estate The Real Estate Group's practice also involves the formation and business structure of the entity that will acquire or manage the property. Mergers and acquisitions of both public and private companies regularly include real property among the assets to be acquired or sold, so our real estate attorneys frequently draft and negotiate agreements of sale, leases, and loan agreements, and formulate means of lessening the effects of transfer taxes upon the subject transaction. We routinely review the title to the subject property, as well as any zoning and land use concerns. We work closely with the Firm's Litigation Group to offer clients advice related to real estate disputes and lawsuits. Our experience includes foreclosures; ownership, easement and boundary disputes; breach of lease or agreement of sale; specific performance disputes; fraudulent nondisclosure or misrepresentation of the condition of the property; land use and zoning appeals; adverse possession matters; and real estate tax appeals.
