The Firm's Labor and Employment Group has experience in counseling and representing a wide variety of public and private sector clients, including manufacturing companies, retail stores, utilities, hospitals, health care and other professional services providers, airlines, educational institutions, state regulated agencies and commissions. The Group consists of attorneys who are experienced in employment practices and workers' compensation.
Our attorneys handling workers' compensation matters represent both large self-insured entities and private insurance companies, with experience litigating the entire spectrum of claims under Workers’ Compensation and Occupational Disease Acts, as well as unemployment compensation matters. We understand the complicated interplay between workers’ compensation and employment law, and ensure that our clients’ global interests are taken into account when litigating and resolving claims.
Our attorneys handling employment practices matters counsel client on day-to-day workplace issues, ranging from termination scenarios to ensuring that employee handbooks are well drafted and contain essential provisions. We have experience handling cases before state and federal administrative agencies, including the EEOC and PHRC, as well as litigating cases involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, and civil rights claims.
